Born in London, Ontario, Debbie spent 20+ years in the business, finance, and sales arena before turning her efforts to writing and art. In 2012 her first fiction novel was published (Echelon Press LLC). She has since written three fiction novels, the most recent of which (published via BWL Publishing) currently sells through all major national and international retail and on-line book venues. Debbie is also a co-contributor to many national and international non-fiction anthologies, and pens interviews with other international authors, from new authors to NYT bestsellers, for a third party writer's blog out of LA.
Curious about exploring new avenues of expression, in 2014 she began delving into the world of acrylic on canvas painting in abstract, representational landscapes, and nature. She is a full-time writer and visual artist who enjoys connecting with others, bringing to life new visions of art, and encouraging others to explore their own creativity.
Debbie's artwork has been exhibited and sold in various local (SWO) art exhibitions, including Westland Gallery's Square Foot Show (2017) in London, Ontario, and studio tours. In addition, she continues to do commissioned artwork on request.
“Art is conversation”,and for Debbie, it's always about the connections we have to each other and the world around us.“It's about telling a story, and about the stories we tell ourselves when we view art.”
