Rita Milton was born and raised in Oxford County, Ontario. Having studied with local and international teachers, she is now an award winning professional artist. She works with several mediums in her own abstracted stylized method to create unique works. Rita has participated in numerous solo, juried, group shows and events. She has worked on several murals for the Town of Ingersoll and the City of Woodstock. Rita has been awarded several Ontario Arts Council grants. Along with being an active member of gallery and artists organizations, she has served on several art boards and steering committees.
Rita has attended workshops by several local, national and international artists including Russia, Ireland, Montreal, St. Louis, Florida, St. Mary’s, Woodstock, Fergus, London and Uxbridge. Rita teaches and shares her enthusiasm for the freedom of creating art. Travelling in Canada, as well as international, she has represented Canada in the Netherlands. Her works are included in gallery, corporate, hospital and private collections.
