Yana Litus
Yana Litus is a visual artist/live painter, muralist, and interior decorative artist born in Ukraine and currently based in London, Ontario, Canada. With over 15 years of experience, she is known across Canada and the United States for her large-scale wall interior murals, accent walls, and custom artworks designed specifically for interior spaces.
Yana’s artistic journey began in early childhood when she started drawing at the age of four and later attended art school while continuing her regular education. She later earned a degree in Architecture from Poltava National Technical University in Ukraine, where she studied for six years and developed a strong understanding of design, composition, and spatial thinking. Throughout her studies, she continued painting murals for restaurants, cafes, and commercial interiors, which eventually became the central focus of her artistic practice.Her work explores the relationship between art and space
Yana creates site-specific murals and custom artworks inspired by the stories, personalities, and environments of the people who inhabit them. She works with a wide range of materials and techniques including acrylic, watercolor, oil paint, decorative plaster, gypsum, and concrete-based textures, often combining painting with sculptural decorative finishes to transform interiors into unique visual experiences.Over the years, Yana has created artworks and murals for cafes, restaurants, hotels, showrooms, beauty salons, offices, gyms, private homes, and children’s spaces. She enjoys working on large surfaces and believes that walls can become powerful visual narratives that shape the emotional atmosphere of a space.
Since moving to Canada in 2016, Yana has continued developing her artistic practice across North America, creating projects in Canada and the United States while also shipping commissioned artworks worldwide.Yana is also an active participant in live painting events. She was a Toronto City Champion at ArtBattle 2023, a Finalist of the National ArtBattle Championship 2023, and the winner of ArtBattle ArtComp London 2024 and 2025th years. Her murals can be found in locations including the Hilton Hotel in London, Ontario, restaurants in Montreal, London, Toronto and showrooms in New York and Los Angeles. Through her work, Yana aims to create art that brings individuality, emotion, and a sense of story into the spaces people live and gather in.
