Get Outside and Play
This story shows families and children getting outside to play in every month of the year. Whether they are splashing through puddles, jumping in leaf piles, swimming at the beach, hiking, biking, playing catch or roasting marshmallows -- in every season there are moments of joy to be found outdoors.
The concept for this beautifully illustrated book is rooted in the author's childhood in Northern Ontario.
She recalls her mom constantly shooing her and her two sisters out the door, saying "Get outside and play!"
As an adult she's enjoyed exploring outdoors with her own three children, and now with her grandchildren.
Whether it's for a few minutes or a few hours...just get outside and play!
