Jay and Gizmo Learn About Pow Wows

This is the fourth in the Adventures of Jay and Gizmo series of books. Jay and his dad return from the pow wow and after greeting his mom and Gizmo, Jay begins to tell his mom about the events of the day and all the things he has learned and done. He has learnt about different dance styles, visited vendors and admired crafts, and seen performances and dancing. In the excitement, Jay put his new leather bag down and suddenly Gizmo disappeared inside it – ready to join Jay at their next activity, the lacrosse game.

About the Author and Illustrator 

Kristi White is an author and member of the Oneida Nation of the Thames. Her focus is on Indigenous language and culture revitalization, and an awakening in boys literacy.

Illustrator Sheri Campbell has been drawing since childhood and continues to develop her artistic practice through the use of different mediums including pencils, paints, markers, and digital art.
