Rudolf Bikkers, RCA (1943-2023) was born in the Netherlands and emigrated to Canada in 1966 after completing his Master of Fine Arts from Jan van Eyck Academie in Maastricht. Rudolf taught drawing at Beal High School, and established Editions Canada on Prospect Ave in London in 1975, where he produced numerous national and international artists' prints. After moving to Toronto he became Chair of the Print Department at the Ontario College of Arts (now OCADU) from 1983-2012. Bikkers was an artist, a teacher, and a master printer. He had 23 solo shows and 20 group shows nationally and internationally. His prints and paintings can be found in many public, corporate and private collections. His awards include the A.J. Casson Award. He was elected member of the Royal Canadian Academy of Arts and received the Queen's Golden Jubilee Medal in 2002.
